External breathing function diagnostics

Spirometry - determining of external breathing function by means of a spirometer. This method of screening diagnostics helps determining the lung volume, air flow velocity in the airways, as well as it is used for the specification of diagnosis in the event of chronic lung diseases.

Spirometry is performed in patients with chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma (BA), pneumoconiosis, multiple cystic lung disease.

Spirometry allows to evaluate objective pulmonary insufficiency. It helps to confirm the diagnosis and determines the severity degree of the disease.

During spirometry, the device records the minimum volume of the lungs, minimum oxygen consumption and vital capacity (VC).
