The Allurion Intragastric Balloon System for gentle weight loss
The Allurion technology consists of a small capsule containing a balloon, which is introduced into the stomach with water under medical supervision. It does not require endoscopy, surgery, or bariatric intervention, nor does it require anesthesia. Once the balloon reaches the stomach, it is filled with saline solution, and its position is checked using an X-ray.
The balloon stays in the stomach for 16 weeks, after which it naturally dissolves and is excreted through the digestive tract.
