Vision and eye health diagnostics in children

The ophthalmology room with most up to date full spectrum equipment enables the performance of precise diagnostics: examination of visual functions in accordance with the age and opportunities of the child; assessment of binocular function(stereo tests close to the eyes and at the distance); complete examination for strabismus; motor (motion) testing of the eyes; refraction (breaking of the light beam by the eye) tests; examinations of the external and deeper structures of the eye.

In infants and small children, who do not speak yet, the assessment is performed by using special internationally recognised tests, which check the ''selective visions and visual attention threshold'', by showing the picture (Cardiff) or lines (Teller), the intensity of which is gradually reduced.
