Paediatric nutrition specialist

Paediatric nutrition specialist

A nutrition specialist consults the parents about suitable and wholesome diet for the child from the moment of introduction of solids. The nutrition specialist consults children and their parents about choosing a correct and wholesome diet in the case of allergies/food intolerance. He brings clarity about daily diet in the case of such specific disease as celiac disease and diabetes mellitus.

In cooperation with the child's physician and parents, solutions for obesity and malnourishment are offered.

For children with intense daily physical activities (athletes), the nutrition specialist consults on suitable diet and, if required, on food supplements.

In cooperation with other specialists, the nutrition specialist treats some of the most serious adolescent diseases nowadays – eating disorders (anorexia nervosa, bulimia).
