Bicycle ergometry is one of the most widely used diagnostic methods both for the initial diagnosis of coronary artery disease (CAD) and for assessing its severity.
The exercise stress test is a non-invasive diagnostic method that allows evaluation of heart function at rest, during precisely controlled physical exertion, and during the recovery period. It also helps to determine physical exercise capacity and identify factors that may limit it.
This examination enables early detection and assessment of cardiovascular functional disorders, as well as the development of an effective and individualized exercise or training program.
The test is performed for patients from 14 years of age.
Both services covered by the National Health Service (NHS) of Latvia (NVD) and paid services are available.
