Video analysis of gait.is the evaluation of the gait of a patient by using a treadmill or a special carpet with pressure sensitive sensors and video cameras.
The gait of the patient is recorded and afterwards analysed in slow motion. Ankles, knee and hip joint axes are evaluated and motion angles in the joints are measured.
The use of this method enables the evaluation of the efficiency of different footwear inserts (insoles) in reaching the best result.
This method is also recommended in people after trauma or neurological diseases for the diagnostics of gait disorders.
