An oxygen concentrator separates oxygen from room air, allowing patients to receive additional oxygen of high purity.
It is a compact, five-liter oxygen machine with a high concentration of oxygen at all flow rates and is equipped with an OSD® sensor for continuous oxygen level monitoring, as well as alarms that notify of low oxygen levels, power outages, pressure drops, or maintenance needs.
Oxygen therapy is most commonly required for conditions such as COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), interstitial lung diseases, lung cancer, pulmonary hypertension, and during the recovery period after COVID-19 or flu. In children, indications can include cystic fibrosis or bronchopulmonary dysplasia. The device is not intended to sustain life-support functions.
The oxygen concentrator provides:
Additional oxygen supply to the bloodstream;
Reduction of hypoxia* symptoms;
Improvement in cardiovascular function;
Strengthening of the immune system;
Enhanced brain function, among others.
Hypoxia is a pathological condition that occurs when certain organs, tissues, or the entire body lack sufficient oxygen.
! To rent an oxygen concentrator, the patient must present a doctor's referral/recommendation for oxygen therapy at home.
! Since the number of devices is limited, rental must be reserved in advance by calling: 67144001.
