IPL therapy

IPL therapy

What is IPL therapy?

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) therapy is a procedure that uses high-intensity light pulses to treat oily, problematic skin prone to acne, as well as to improve overall skin condition and appearance.

The treatment is based on the physical properties of light pulses with specific wavelengths that penetrate the skin structure and provide a therapeutic effect.

How does IPL therapy work?

In the treatment of problematic skin, IPL uses its strong antibacterial effect. A chemical reaction occurs, producing oxygen molecules that destroy bacteria and interrupt the development of acne.

Additionally:

  • sebaceous gland activity is reduced;

  • sebum production decreases;

  • collagen and elastin synthesis is stimulated;

  • enlarged pores are minimized;

  • post-acne pigmentation is reduced.

Benefits of IPL therapy

  • improves skin condition and appearance;

  • reduces acne and inflammation;

  • evens out skin tone;

  • helps treat pigmentation issues;

  • reduces redness (including early-stage rosacea).

Procedure details

  • minimally painful;

  • non-invasive (does not damage the skin surface);

  • no downtime required;

  • performed using the EXILITE device.

IPL therapy is an effective solution for treating acne, pigmentation, and early signs of rosacea while improving overall skin quality.
