Computed tomography phlebography is an in depth diagnostic examination of veins that is not widely available in Latvia yet. Computed tomography phlebography is predominantly indicated in the event of the thrombosis of deep veins of unclear origin or congenital vein diseases. Other examination methods enable only segmentary examination of the deep veins, however, the use of computed tomography phlebography, the entire system of deep veins can be visualised together.
